Success Stories

Josiah and Shantelle

Shantelle, a teacher’s aide at Canandaigua Primary School, and Josiah, who restores cars at Jim’s Service Center, had always dreamed of owning a home—especially after starting a family. Like many first-time buyers, the dream once felt just out of reach. Encouraged by a co-worker, Shantelle applied to the Greater Rochester Habitat for Humanity Home-buyer Program. For the couple, their future home represents far more than just four walls. It’s stability for their family, a foundation to build memories, and a future filled with opportunity.
